Fort Nelso, British Columbia, Canada
ByI am sitting in the library in Ft Nelson, thinking about how to catch up with my blogging. I think the last time I had a chance to blog was at Toad River. and that has been a few days ago. Many things have happen since that time, I don’t know where to begin?
Today is saturday, 7/17/2010. Time, 1:48 pm. I came into Ft Nelson on thursday around noon, I had cycled from the summit approx. 50 miles or 80 kilometers, to get here in about 5 hours. This was another mile stone for me, because it is a large community, with a population of 5,000 plus people.
I contacted David at M-Powered Media in Calif. and he was able to get in touch with a news reporter at the Ft Nelson News. The reporter, Anne Margaret, enterviewed me the same day at a restaurant. Prior to that, I had met with a Pastor at his church and he was making arrangements for accomodations for my stay in the area.
I love the way the Lord works. I went with Pastor Gary Maaser on his hospital visits. We prayed for patients and church members, and one lady we were talking with, after her son walked up, I felt in my spirit to mention the name of a first nation person of Canada that I had met a week earilier, and the lady’s son said, “I, just dropped her off at home. Everyone noticed my excitement!!! The person I am referring to is, Louise, the sister to the family members I blogged about, concerning the bear incident with the elderly brother and sisters. The Pastors wife asked me if I wanted to go and visit with her.
The three of us went to visit Louise, and shewas surprised and happy to see me again. We both were glad to see one another. Pastor gary and I went back to the hospital the next day, friday and prayed for loved ones and prayed for Louise’s husband, who is also a patient.
I went back to the hospital today on my own and visited the sick. the nurses remembered me, and I went directly to the rooms of the persons I knew and prayed with them. I was invited to the Pastor”s home for good and fellowship with other members of the church.
The nignt before I arrived in Ft. Nelson, Iwas camping out in a abandon trailer house because of no campgrounds near and it had began to rain. I had gotten settled when I heard noise outside, so I went to the window and looked out, and there was a nice size black bear rummaging around outside, looking for something to eat. I got my can of bear spray out, so if it came to the door I would spray. I was thinking, since I had never used this can of spray before, maybe I should take off the lock and see ifit works. I accidently pressed the release and a burst of spray shot out in the room. the fumes filled the immediate area and I had to go outside in the rain, coughing sneezing and feeling I was about to be sick. I forgot all about the bear and anything else, all I wanted was fresh air. It was over an hour before I could comfortable rest in the room. what an experience.
WellI must stop now the library is closing. Please remember, we must share the love of Christ and pray for souls to be saved. lead them to
