Ride Proclamation!

If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land. 2 Chronicles 7:14

Eastbank Of Greater New Orleans

By

The Eastbank of greater New Orleans includes portions of Jefferson Parish, which includes the suburb, Metairie. I am in Metairie, Louisiana, in the home of Mike & Mitzi Romero and their two exceptional daughters, Miriam and Marissa. Mike is a cyclist, as well as a husband and father. He saw my bike and trailer, and sought out the rider. We shared pleasantries concerning our interest in cycling long distances. After our conversation, he gave me an invitation to visit his home. Today I am blessed to meet his family. This blog is from the Romero’s home.

I completed the cycling trek from the Antelope Valley, California, to New Orleans, Louisiana, yesterday. I was very tired when I arrived downtown New Orleans, after being ferried across the Mississippi River. Calling my wife helped center me, because I had an eight hour cycling day to get to my destination. I talked to The Lord God off and on all night whenever I would awaken. Yes, The Lord is my Shepard. Mike is helping me clean my bike. So, I will say, ‘later’.
