Grand Forks, North Dakota to Fargo, North Dakota
Posted by: | CommentsI departed Grand Forks around 8:30 am 0n Monday morning en-route to Fargo, North Dakota. I left the church where I had been staying for the last few days, after saying farewell to Rick, my brother in Christ. The day was over-cast and a cross head wind was my friend for the journey that day. I did not make many miles on that day because of the weather conditions, approx. 35 + miles. I cycled into Hillsboro wet from the rain and located a campground. The manager gave me the camp site at no charge. his name is Mr Olson. Nice name and a nice gentleman.
On Tuesday morning I was off again after breaking camp. The next town I entered was Grandin, and there I stopped at the bank for some direction about a place to eat. Lani Rude the bank manager offered me coffee and gave me the directions to a place to eat. I thank her for her kindness and support.
After leaving Grandin I arrived in Fargo around 3:pm and stopped at North Dakota State University for a few hours to make some contacts. I shared my testimony with Courtney a cashier at the Jitters Coffee Bar, she expressed being a senior
at NDSU. I secured a camp site for the night at the Lindenwood Campground which is a few miles from the Minnesota state line.
Since I have been in the city of Fargo, I had the opportunity to visit two churches, the First Methodist Church for a fellowship dinner and the Salem Evangelical Free Church where I attended a bible study. The group was studying the book of Nehemiah. I was looking for somewhere to hear the word, and the Lord led me to the church and the study. The Lord is good and His mercy endures forever.
Today is Thursday, it has been raining most of the day. I was blessed to have the gentleman that was facilitating the bible study last night, come to my camp site and offer me lunch and fellowship at his home. I am blogging while visiting with Clayton Lindgren my host for today. Many blessing to him and his family in Jesus holy name.
I will cycle out tomorrow, the weather report appears to be in my favor. I encourage you to read the word of God daily, and remember to read James 1:22. Then apply it to what you have read in the Word.
Your brother in Christ. Lowell
Pembina, North Dakota To Grand Forks North Dakota
Posted by: | CommentsThe trek from Pembina to Grand Forks was a all day experience. I departed the town about 8:30 am after eating a breakfast of oatmeal at my host home, and saying fair well.
The distances I had to cycle on that day was approx 78 miles, and it took me close to 12 hours. I stopped at a rest area and slept on the picnic benches for over an hour, then refreshed myself and continued cycling toward Grand Forks. I did not stop to eat because the towns were always several miles off the hwy, so I felt to put those miles toward making my destination, and keep cycling.
Before I reached Grand Forks I at some sugar beets that was delicious and nutritious. When I finally reached my destination I was exhausted, and I was singing a song to the Lord: “Lord, Lord, where should I go. By My Spirit you will know. I kept saying it over and over as I cycled into the town, then I saw a church and pulled into the parking lot and went inside.
Dr. Richard Bradley was the speaker, and he ministered on Revelations for the next three nights and the coming Sunday. When the service was over I asked the gentleman behind me about where I could find a campground. He said, “I think we can do a little better than that. We can provide a bed and a shower and encouragement for you before you go on with your mission.
I was given accommodations at the Faith Community Church, and have been truly blessed and refreshed by the Holy Spirit leading. The Spirit of the Lord is here at this church working in the leadership in a mighty way. Praise God. I have been in Grand Forks since Thursday night and today is Saturday. I went to a prayer breakfast this morning, and was instrumental in a soul receiving Christ. How cool is that! God is so good, He is worthy to be praised. Hallelujah!
I have been running with some warriors in Christ, Wayne Puckett online and his brother Rick Puckett, and Joe Atilano.
Well I am signing off.
From Manitoba to the US Border
Posted by: | CommentsIt was a little emotional for me to think about this would be my last day in Canada.I was thinking what would do once I entered the US, and how was I going to feel. I also thought about why was I having these kinds of thoughts.
I began to realize that I had been cycling through various Canadian provinces for over two months and had become attached to the people and the kindness shared toward me. I arrived at the border and crossed into North Dakota, stopped and turned to look back at the Welcome To Canada sign and smiled to myself.
I thought briefly of many fond memories in that moment of viewing the sign. Canada was behind me now and US cities leading to Florida was before me, so I set my focus on the southern direction ahead and cycled south.
To the body of Christ I quote:
“Bless the LORD, O my soul,And all that is within me, bless His holy name! 2) Bless the LORD, O my soul, and forget not all His benefits.”
Thank you for reading my blogs and praying for me. Your brother in Christ, Lowell

A stop in Morris, Manitoba
Posted by: | CommentsI departed Winnipeg, Manitoba yesterday, September 11, 20 10 around 9:30 am enroute to the US border. Leaving the hostel made me feel a little empty because I had spent a few days there with my lovely wife. She had come to Winnipeg to celebrate the success of me reaching the half way point of THE HOLY SPIRIT IS HERE trek. My wife returned to the Los Angeles area on Sept. 10th, flying out of the Winnipeg airport at 4:25pm. I have cycled over 3000 miles thus far and have approx. 3000 miles to go, in order to reach the Florida Keys. Cycling out of the city was a little challenging because the road I had to travel was partly being worked on, later I had a cross head wind to contend with. Once I began cycling it was necessary to become totally focused, that’s what treking on the highway’s demand.
I finally arrived in Morris around 5:00 pm, and observed the welcome sign that gave info on the various churches in town. I prayed again for the Lord to lead me, and continued to the center of town. I was given direction to the campgrounds where I secured a site and set- up my tent for the night. The church I saw on the sign, I felt lead to attend on Sunday was the Church of The Open Door.
Sleep was good and I got some much needed rest. Praise God. The Lord is so good.
Once I became fully awake this morning I broke camp, putting all my equipment on the bik for travel and cycled to the church. Everyone was warm and friendly as I entered the area. I felt at home, I was with the body of Christ. The service was a blessing and anointed. Joan van der Linde ministered this morning. Gavin & Joan van der Linde are the senior pastors the church.
I am at the van der Linde’s home blogging because my computer is being repaired. There is a celebration going on at this time for their daughter and I will stop blogging and participate in the activities, I will talk with you later.
Jesus loves you, and I am praying for His hand on your lives.
