A Visit To Trek Bicycle Company In Waterloo, Wis.
Posted by: | CommentsA few days ago I cycled into Madison, Wisconsin after leaving Stone’s throw Campground. Cycling through the University of Wisconsin campus was exciting because it was Saturday, and a game had been played or pending. Red and white are their colors and red and white was the clothing for the day. I had a red and white visual good time in the capital city.
I ate dinner downtown where the restaurant seating extended outside around the sidewalk, it was crowded and entertaining. Afterwards, I cycled to the next town adjacent Madison, which was Monona, Wisconsin and got a hotel because no campsites were available.
The next day I cycled to Edgerton and was hosted by a lovely couple in the town. John, my host called the editor of the local newspaper. Diane Everson, the reporter for the paper came to the house and interviewed me along with John and Eve Geberhardt. The next day, John and I drove to the Trek bicycling manufacturing company in Waterloo, Wis. We were given a tour of the company; it is exciting to see how trek bicycles are made.
We drove back to Edgerton and I cycled to Janesville for the evening where I rested for the night. I am given the opportunity to minister throughout the day to whoever I meet, from one person to a group or congregation. I enjoy giving my testimony and talking about Jesus, my Lord and savior.
I stopped in the last town before leaving the state of Wisconsin, which was Beloit, Wis. and interviewed with the daily news paper. I had the opportunity to give my testimony and let the readers know how much I enjoyed cycling through their state. I am now in the state of Illinois, in the town of Rockford, Illinois.
Today is Tuesday Oct. 12 .
I am in Coon Valley, Wisconsin.
Posted by: | CommentsThe time is approx.1:50 pm and I am in Coon Valley, Wisconsin. I entered the state yesterday from La Crescent, Minnesota. As you can see I am making some head way, to continue the progress I will attempt to by-pass all extremely high mountain ranges. At the present time I have left the Mississippi river, where I have been snaking along with the river. Some parts are simply beautiful.
There has been flooding along the river in this area during the fall season. Some campgrounds where I have stayed, the sites have been partially under water.
I am thankful to all the children of God that are praying for me.
The Lord is doing a work in my life, prayer is on-going almost constantly with me, and that I am grateful for. ‘The Spirit ministered to me the delight of the Lord when His children come with a desire to spend time with Him; but most of His children are too busy.’ I felt the sadness of His heart because of business. I was guilty. What about you? I had to repent.
Well I must go, some lady just invited me to have some cake and other food that is a part of their ten year anniversary for the library here in Coon Valley.
Spirit Rider in Winona, Minnesota/10-05-10
Posted by: | CommentsI have passed through some very interesting towns and cities since I departed Avon, Minnesota. One of the most beautiful was Lake City, Minn. I have worked my way to Winona, Minn. thus far on this journey with the Holy Spirit. Following the Mississippi river for the last several days and sleeping at a campground last night partly flooded has been something to live for, if I may say the least.
I just wanted every one to know that I am doing well and being led by the Holy Spirit. At this time of the journey I am thinking about staying ahead of the cold weather while moving south. My guess is that I will be on the road until the first part of December. I know all to well that it is not my trek, it is the Lords vision and ride. I am His workmanship created to do His good works. [Eph. 2:10]
I am at the library in Winona doing this blog and I am going to leave tomorrow for La Crosse, Wisconsin
Well I will blog with you later, when I get the chance.
Blessings to all reading this blog in Jesus Holy name.

Posted by: | CommentsToday is Sept. 29, 2010 and I am in Avon, Minn., resting in the home of Pastor Chuck and Lisa Pelkey and family. I was led to their church which was directly off the Lake Wobegon Trail. This is a bike path that extends over a hundred miles, the first part of the path began in Fergus Falls, Minn. and ends in St. Joseph, Minn.. I was blessed by being obedient to the leading of the Holy Spirit, because I passed many churches and continued cycling. For my obedience I was given good rest and fellowship. There is nothing like the the family of God. The name of the church is Avon Community Church.
I was reflecting today on one of the moments I had a few days back. While cycling from Barnesville,Minn.
to Fergus Falls, Minn., I was talkin to the Lord about how he sees things. During that time I observed a large nest in a tree, once I arrived to the area beneath the tree, I looked up and saw two bald eagles in the nest. Immediately I begin to screech like an eagle and one of the pair began to look around, then lifted it self up and out of the nest on the wings and began soaring ; such beauty and majestic motion with wings spread. I cycled off feeling “WOW!”, that made my day.
While cycling that day I kept remembering the scripture in Isaiah 40:31, “But those that wait on the Lord Shall renew their strength: They shall mount up with wings like eagles. They shall run and not be weary. They shall walk and not faint.”
I will wait on the Lord. What about you?
Departing Fargo, North Dakota
Posted by: | CommentsIt was a drier morning when I departed Fargo en-route to the Minnesota state line.
It had been raining the last few days and I was having a tough time with my tent, it had been began to leak because of the continuous daily raining. Every night I was up wiping water that was coming into the tent. That type of activity makes for a long night.
The day was Friday Sept. 24, 2010, and I was on University Ave. and Kate who worked at the Great Harvest Bread Co. invited me into the store to sample a slice of bread, and afterwards made me a delicious sandwich with cookies to take with me on my way out of Fargo. This was a nice gift to receive after the long night.
Once I entered Minnesota the State Trooper escorted me off the Interstate and directed me to an alternate route. I cycled about 30 miles after manipulating my way through local farm routes that keep me near the desired interstate 94. I camped in the town of Barnesville, Minnesota for the night.
Today is Saturday and it rained again last night, but that’s fine, just another opportunity to give thanks to God for all things, as it says in 1 Thessalonian 5:18.
I called David around three pm and he called ahead to Fergus Falls Minnesota to make contact with Daniel and Jeanette Tostenson. When I finally arrived in town , I called and they came to pick me up. They are both very special children of God. We have had some excellent fellowship time. Praise God!!!
I remember a young lady in the North Town Plaza that was very kind too me while visiting the restaurant/service station. Shirley was her name. Thanks for your kindness and I pray God’s blessing over you. In Jesus holy name.
Well, I am going to sign off for now, continue meditating on James 1:22, and stepping out in faith and being a doer of the word.
Good night all.
