Fairbanks to Delta Junction
Posted by: | CommentsGood morning Holy Spirit. Thanks to God Almighty for the many blessings He has given me from the time I departed from Fairbanks until now. Today is thursday June, 2010. Thanks to Kate at the Water Test for the first bottle of water given, to Paul and Sheri for a healthy snack and warm hospitality, and my new friend in Christ, Pastor and brother Doug Jewell of the “Living Waters Assembly of God church”, for the great fellowship, and breakfast at the Poorboys cafe, warm bed, and so much more that will be encouragement to me as I continue doing Kingdom business.
Blessings to the couple that shared the evening meal with the Pastor and I at the Trophy Lodge, (one of the original Mousecateers). Susan Reeves, thank you for the encouragement and love in your heart that makes your customers feel special. I must start my days adventure. The Holy Spirit Is Here. Spirit Rider Lowell
Last day and night in Fairbanks,Alaska
Posted by: | CommentsI was up early this morning, or maybe I should say, I was up throughout the night. I was resting and having some feelings of anxiety simultaneously, even though I know that the Word of God says to be anxious for nothing. That’s when I had to confess, I am a doer of the word and not a hearer only. (James 1:22) Then I had to cast my cares upon the Lord. I then quoted, “I can do all things through Christ Jesus that strengthens me.” When I went to church this morning the Pastor’s sermon was on “The Person and Work of the HOLY SPIRIT”. Boy, I was blessed.
The Lord is using me and what He is doing in and through me is an example of, desiring to be lead by the Holy Spirit into all truth, in Jesus Holy name. The Spirit was present. Thank God, thank God!! There is so much that happens in each day, that I would need a secretary to tell it all. Well, in about 13 hours I will be officially underway. I will pray the Lord give me peace in sleep tonight, because the time is short and I think, I have much to think about and do. I am now sitting at a local coffee house, Alaska Coffee Roasting Co., on Geist Street, in Fairbanks. Good night everyone, until I blog the next. Spirit Rider Lowell.
Visited with the youth at the Boys and Girls club
Posted by: | CommentsI had a luncheon appointment with Darryl, news reporter from channel 11, he had to cover a fire that is burning out of control, so we met at the Fairbanks Boys and Girls Club. Some footage was shot while I was interacting with youth at the art table. I have some skills when it comes to drawing or sketching, now this type of interaction made me feel at home. After enjoying the youth for, approx.
three hours, and sharing stories centered around various topics, I cycled to a laundromat to wash a load of clothes. While at the laundromat ,
I began to talk with Ms Terra Sipple and family members, she was a christian. The Spirit moved while we fellow-shipped in the laundry and I video taped her testimony. We were both saying, “The Lord is good”, while we praised our God. I am having to walk by faith on a greater level and I know my Heavenly Father will provide, and if He doesn’t, in truth, no one else can. Something funny and embarrassing happened to me this morning. I was meditating at the gym and fell asleep. The manager came into the weight room to wake me. I am sure she was alerted to the situation, afterwards I went into the jacuzzi, and then to apologize. We both smiled, and she shared her position at the center, to keep everyone safe! I appreciated her professionalism and kindness. A picture was taken of her, Margie, for the Spirit Rider’s website. “The Holy Spirit Is Here”. Spirit Rider Lowell
Handsome gentelman and Buzzy
Posted by: | CommentsI am writing this blog at the Wal-Mart store in Fairbanks. The time
is approx. 2:30 in the AM, and I have been cycling around the city. This is an excellent time to get to know the city, it is quiet and empty of traffic. While cycling on first street next to the Chena river, I approach two people standing together, the gentleman commented something concerning me cycling to Florida. To my surprise it was a handsome gentleman and Buzzy. I knew this couple because we had met in a Denny’s restaurant. I was eating when a small wad of paper came across my shoulder and landed on the table. I turned to see what was taking place, well, Buzzy was attempting to get the gentleman’s attention, but truly got mine. She was a little embarrassed, and apologized, and that’s how we met the first time. It was nice to see the two of them again, and we talked like new friends. Well, that’s all for tonight. Networked at Fairbanks city hall
Posted by: | CommentsI did some training last night, In other words, I cycled off and on all night.
You can do that with ease in Fairbanks in the summer time, because it is day light all of the time. At 4:00 AM I was waiting at a Safeway store for star bucks to open at 6:00 AM. After getting my coffee I cycled to Mary Siah recreation center, which opened at 8:00 AM . I went into the sauna, then dressed and cycled to city hall. I met Mayor, Terry Strle. Mayor Strle was very focused and pleasant. Afterwards I shared my story with city hall employee, Amber B. Courtney, and Antoino C. Shumate. From there I went to speak with Laren J. Zager, the chief of police, a stately gentleman. I enjoyed talking with Mr. Zager. The next person I met was Darryl Lewis with the channel 11 tv station. He went to school in the Antelope Valley, now that was a surprise to both of us, but we enjoyed it. Well, one more stop at the news paper office and I was done. After this blog, I am done!
