Down but not out
Posted by: | CommentsYesterday was a very difficult cycling day. I cycled from the village in Northway back to the Alaska Hwy (2), then from there, to the Canadian border. The Hwy was being worked on and gravel is not for the faint hearted cyclist, balancing comes into play while ascending and decending hills.
After reaching the Alaskan border, approx. 50 mls. I was tired but was told the Canadian customs was still 20 miles further. I met David J. Trainor at the border working, he is an electrician. I prayed with, and for him the night before, and witnessed a break through. It was after nine pm when I finally reached Beaver Creek in the Yukon Terr.. I ate at Buckshot Betty’s, then chose to stay up all night because I wanted to sleep as long as I could for my money. I was given favor today and allowed to check into the cabin at 11:00 AM. I could barely keep my eyes open. Don’t plan on doing that again. “THE HOLY SPIRIT IS HERE”
Need to make contact
Posted by: | CommentsHI Evelyn, I am in Northway Ak.
and there is no phone service. Maybe I can buy a phone card and call you. I was able to get WI-FI at the airport lodge. I am seven miles off the highway, so I will now have 50 miles to cycle to the border of Canada. If you don’t hear from me for awhile, the LORD goes before me. “THE HOLY SPIRIT IS HERE”. Tok,Ak. to Northway, Ak.
Posted by: | CommentsI am now sitting on the bed, in the Northway airport lodge, which I was blessed by the Pastor of the only church on the reservation. The trek to here was very difficult, I was so very tired. It seemed as though, the closer I got to Northway the worse I felt.
I truely had to manage each mile as I neared the village. About a mile from the village limits, I walked my bike and prayed in the Spirit until I had a break through from the heaviness I felt. I entered Northway singing in the Spirit. I interacted with the locals, and fellowshipped with the Pastor and his wife, they are true missonaries (Praise God). I witnessed to two gentleman, and prayed with David J. Trainor. There was deliverance and restoration, Holy, holy God. You are Worthy to be praised. David was a blessing to me. “The Holy Spirit Is Here” Spirit Rider Lowell
tok Assembly Of God
Posted by: | CommentsI am being hosted by the Pastor and his wife, Joel and Ann Krise, and their two lovely children. I pray blessings over them in Jesus Holy Name. There is much rain to contend with but, “I can do all things through Christ that strengthens me”. (Phil 4:13} I quote scripture throughout the day while cycling so I could make it.
JESUS IS LORD.
Cycled eighty plus miles
Posted by: | CommentsI departed Delta Junction and began the trek to Tok, Alaska, which is a little over 100 miles. It was a nice day to cycle but not a nice day to leave friendly people. Delta Junction was a very friendly place. I quickly stopped by the local news paper office to share my story, and the appreciation I felt for the hospitality and warmth received. The days cycling started well, sunny weather, which gave me the opportunity to visit Delta’s Meat and Sausage Factory. The next place I stopped at was the Silver Fox Road House. This was an amazing little
museum that should be advertised, because as I pulled up, I did not know it was inside. I had to take some video of the main attraction,[ far as I am concerned was the buffalo). I cycled most of the night to try and cover 80 miles, about a 19 hour day, in the rain. I pulled into the Cathedral’s bed n breakfast.
I was soaked and cold, but this was the right place. I met Dave and Chris, and all the discomforting feelings I was experiencing melted away with the warmth shared by the two of them. Thanks Dave and Chris!!! “My GOD is a good GOD”. Spirit Rider Lowell
