PINK Mountain to Wononow, BC Canada
Posted by: | CommentsI would love to be on the road at this time but I have a connection, so I am stopping to blog. Blogging has become a part of this trek. I feel a responsibility to the people following me, or traveling along with me by computer. I am thankful for all the company, you guys.
Today is 7/23/2010, and I am at Pink Mountain Campground and RV Park, with 65 kilometers to Wonowon before the next lodge, and food. After that stop I will have 76 kl to Ft. St. John, a larger town in the Province of Canada.
Fort St. John (pop. 16,034) Is one of the oldest European settlements in BC.
Ft. St. John was established in 1793 as a fur-trading outpost. The town thrives on the expanding gas and oil exploration in the region as well as on it’s more established lumber and cattle ranching industries. The settlement also is a starting point for hunting and fishing expeditions into the surrounding wilderness.
Please pray for souls to be saved, the Lord answers prayers. I must be going now.
The Holy Spirit Is Here.
Sikanni River RV park To Pink Mountain
Posted by: | CommentsI think I remember a slow starting day yesterday, with many rolling hills to transverse. The day was warm and the insects were a pest. I Kept a cloth handy to swat them before they could bite. Once I reached the top of a hill then the wind would blow, and then relief, or the speed going down hill would carry me away from them. All in a days activity!
I sure was pleased to finally reach Sikanni River Campground and RV Park. NO matter how trying a day is leaning on Christ makes the difference. Learning to give thanks in all things, as the scripture reveals in 1st Thessalonians 5:18, allows me to rest in the Lord and draw closer to Him continuously. That is how I am able to make this trek, “Not by power nor by might, but by My Spirit ,said the Lord.”
Today is 7/22/2010 and I called my sister in Beaumont Texas to support me in getting in touch with my 50th class reunion activity which starts today. She was an asset ,and I did get in touch with the Managing Editor of the Beaumont Enterprise news paper.
Thanks Dorothy for the helping hand.
The gentleman I uploaded onto U-tube from Detroit was someone I met today who was a pleasant surprise. He pulled up in front of me on the side of the Alaskan Hwy, and waited until I was beside him, then expressed how pleased he was to meet me. We had a nice time standing there sharing the pleasures of meeting each other in British Columbia on the Alaskan Hwy. Readers can visit U-Tube and view the video.(Detroit Biker)
Thanks to Tony Como, Felton White, Mr. and Mrs Garrison, Oralyn, Stephen Fischer, and all the loved ones that have shown an interest in me doing Kingdom Business. I speak Phil.4:19 over you in Jesus name.
Leaving FT Nelson
Posted by: | CommentsToday is Monday July 19, 2010, and I am leaving Ft.
Nelson BC. Canada. Four nights and three days in this lovely town, I have had many experiences that I will not forget. Going to the hospital with Pastor Gary Maaser and his wife, Nera, praying with precious loved ones, and later going back on my own and ministering was a blessing.
My host here in Ft. Nelson, Calvin Sheppard, has been like a brother in many ways. He made me feel welcome, and at home; that was an exceptional blessing. I want to say thanks to my brother, for the true expression of Christ that you shared with me.
It is 5:27 am, and I must go back to the Hwy. I have had a well needed rest. My body was thanking me for looking out for it. All I could think of was, “We must work together,” My body and I.’
I love you Evelyn, You are truly a gift from heaven. An angel for a wife.

Posted by: | CommentsI am sitting in the library in Ft. Nelson, thinking about how to catch up with my blogging. I think the last time I had a chance to blog was at Toad River that has been a few days ago. Many things have happened since that time, I don’t know where to begin?
Today is Saturday, 7/17/2010. Time, 1:48 pm. I came into Ft Nelson on Thursday around noon, I had cycled from the summit approx. 50 miles or 80 kilometers, to get here in about 5 hours. This was another mile stone for me, because it is a large community, with a population of 5,000 plus people.
I contacted David at M-Powered Media in Calif. and he was able to get in touch with a news reporter at the Ft. Nelson News. The reporter, Anne Margaret, interviewed me the same day at a restaurant. Prior to that, I had met with a Pastor at his church and he was making arrangements for accommodations for my stay in the area.
I love the way the Lord works. I went with Pastor Gary Maaser on his hospital visits. We prayed for patients and church members. One lady we were talking with and her son walked up, I felt in my spirit to mention the name of a first nation person of Canada that I had met a week earlier. The lady’s son said, “I just dropped her off at home. Everyone noticed my excitement!!! The person I am referring to is, Louise, the sister to the family members I blogged about, concerning the bear incident with the elderly brother and sisters. The Pastor’s wife asked me if I wanted to visit with her.
The three of us went to visit Louise, she was surprised and happy to see me again. We both were glad to see one another. Pastor Gary and I went back to the hospital the next day, Friday and prayed for loved ones and prayed for Louise’s husband, who is also a patient.
I went back to the hospital today on my own and visited the sick. The nurses remembered me, and I went directly to the rooms of the persons I knew and prayed with them. I was invited to the Pastor’s home for good fellowship with other members of the church.
The night before I arrived in Ft. Nelson, I was camping out in an abandoned trailer house because there were no campgrounds near and it had begun to rain. I had settled in when I heard noise outside. I went to the window and looked out, and there was a nice size black bear rummaging around outside, looking for something to eat. I got my can of bear spray out, so if it came to the door I could spray. I was thinking, since I had never used this can of spray before, maybe I should take off the lock and see if it worked. I accidentally pressed the release and a burst of spray shot out in the room. The fumes filled the immediate area and I had to go outside in the rain, coughing sneezing and feeling I was about to be sick. I forgot all about the bear and anything else, all I wanted was fresh air. It was over an hour before I could comfortably rest in the room, what an experience.
Well I must stop now the library is closing. Please remember, we must share the love of Christ and pray for souls to be saved and lead them to Christ.
