Corinth, Mississippi
ByThe last time I blogged was in Tennessee, and since then I have had the opportunity to visit Jackson, Tenn., and was hosted by a very special couple, George and Susan Hiscox.
As I cycled into Jackson, Tennessee, I observed a cyclist on the opposite side of the street, moving in the direction I had just traveled. Within a few minutes the cyclist was pulling up on my left side. While we cycled he introduced himself and we exchanged information. George offered his home, for me to rest while I was in the city, we also stopped by the high school where he is employed as a teacher. I had the privilege of sharing my story with a group of bright young students in theirlast period for the day.
George shared with me his love for cycling and southern hospitality. I enjoyed the day of rest at his home, the next morning he cycled with me to the next town, approx. 20 miles and we had lunch. After lunch we both cycled back to the Hwy and acknowledged each other and cycled off in different directions. In my heart of hearts, I say thanks George for being who you are, and I will keep you in prayer. Blessings to you.
I arrived in Corinth, Mississippi on Sunday, Oct. 31 2010 and secured a hotel and visited a church where the Pastor was a cyclist as well. It is always a blessing to fellowship with the body of Christ, on this Monday morning I had prayer with some of the men of the church at 5:00 am. Truly a blessing.
I must keeping moving, so I will blog you later.
