Ride Proclamation!

If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land. 2 Chronicles 7:14

A Visit to Sweetwater, Texas

Posted by: | Comments (0)

I arrived in Sweetwater on the last day of May. A place to rest for the night was the first thing on my agenda. Securing a room on the frontage road next to Interstate 20, this is the highway I will travel out of town on to Abilene, Texas. I asked the Father God to guide me where to worship, after googling churches in the area, I attended; First Assembly of God church, Rev. Wayne and Pat Kirk, Pastors.

I felt welcomed when I met Pastor Wayne in the parking lot. I was asked to share my mission with the congregation, ‘The Holy Spirit is Here.’ After church we all went to break bread and fellowship. Pastor Wayne’s message included, “The church was birthed on the day of Pentecost.” I am refreshed and uplifted when the promise of The Father by Christ is preached.
Jesus I love you.

Cycling at least six days a week

Posted by: | Comments (0)

A typical day starts with awakening and thinking; where am I? Since I usually wake up in a different city or town daily. The next thing I do is to thank God for multiple blessings that were granted me each day and night; abundantly providing all that I need. Now, that’s why I have a heart of gratitude because this happens daily.

I awakened this morning and went through my routine and departed from the motel, cycled across the street to the service station for breakfast food, (such as it was). A gentleman asked me a typical question, “Where are you going?” This time The Lord used me to lead this precious man to salvation. The Lord had orchestrated the morning for us to divinely meet. We both knew that this was planned by God. Now God is his Heavenly Father. Lead by The Holy Spirit with the brief time we had together I shared with him as much as possible, the meaning of his salvation: His new position in the Kingdom of God. His name is Jacob, pray for our new brother in Christ. I shared with Jacob, his receiving Christ, was worth all the miles I had cycled to this location.

The next town I was praying with a lady for healing, deliverance and restoration. After getting into her car she returned and said, “I am to plant this seed.” The two works of the Spirit happened within two and a half hours. My prayer is for Christ to be seen in me.

Resting In the Lord

Posted by: | Comments (0)

On this day, May 30, 2014, I am resting in the Lord in, Snyder Texas Approximately 78 miles from Abilene. I love The Lord more each day, I am blessed to say this. This new expression of love for God, I feel has manifested because, day after day while cycling I only have the Lord to talk to. I have come to enjoy His presence so much. How cool is that! “In His presence is fullness of joy”…Psalms 16:11.I can say, “The joy of The Lord is my strength…”
In Jesus name Amen

I have passed through many towns since I last blogged about my adventures in Albuquerque. I have been cycling most of the time on I-40 and occasionally on Route 66 when it parallels I-40. So you can envision the relationship I have developed with big rig trucks and their drivers. Truck drivers cautiously moving their rigs in a position to pass me with care, and my concern is always to cycle as far to the right of the shoulder as possible. Since I have cycled many thousands of miles on the Inter-States and Highways; a closeness and respect has developed for long distance truck drivers. I also eat at may of the restaurants that truckers frequent. As time passes, more women drivers are seen driving big rig trucks.

While trekking on the highway mile after mile , I have learned to spend my time praying and talking with God The Father. During this time of fellowship, various scriptures come to mind and stay with me throughout the day and longer. I will share a few with you, you will be blessed if you read them! Exodus 23:20, Deuteronomy 31:6,2 Timothy 2:3,and Philippians 2:5.

I have entered the state of Texas. On Memorial Day I departed Amarillo leaving the I-40. I will be traveling South towards Lubbock, Abilene and Austin; then begin cycling East to Houston and beyond….Blessings to you in Jesus name. I am resting in Canyon Texas, home of the West Texas A&M University. How cool is that!!!

Once I departed from the motorcycle caravan en route to the Vietnam Memorial Wall in Washington, DC; I cycled up a steep hill that over looked the city of Alburquerque. I prayed at the top of the hill over all of Albuquerque spread below called my wife and began the decent.

I encountered goat heads, thorns that caused punctured tubes. Fortunately, I got the flat in front of the motel, because I had left my pump miles behind. I secured a room refreshed myself, then caught a local bus with my bike and went to a bike shop. Altogether the cost was approximately $90.00.

I felt led to go to a hospital to minister. I did question The Lord. How was I going to do that? I departed that morning cycling Central avenue, through the length of Albuquerque. The Presbyterian Hospital was on Central avenue. I went into the hospital, being obedient to the voice of The Holy Spirit.I was still trying to reason how and what to do. Words came to me; ask for the Chaplin on duty. She was gracious and kind. We sat in the hospital entrance, talked, prayed for patients, their families and all the Chaplin’s. Chaplin Rebecca, had been with a critical care patient when she received the call. She said to them, “There is a pastor here, so I will go and bring a ‘Word’ back.” I was encouraged by her care and faith for the calling on her life. I shared the You Tube Spirit Ride 2014 video with her. It ministered to her and she stated she would share it with the other chaplin’s. Chaplin Rebecca expressed the blessing the visit had been to her. I was blessed for hearing and obeying the leading of The Holy Spirit.

I met Karen and Michael Hobbs at the East Gate Foursquare Church, they said Pastor Ken would remember them. Blessed service and fellowship.
