Cycled eighty plus miles
ByI departed Delta Junction and began the trek to Tok, Alaska, which is a little over 100 miles. It was a nice day to cycle but not a nice day to leave friendly people. Delta Junction was a very friendly place. I quickly stopped by the local news paper office to share my story, and the appreciation I felt for the hospitality and warmth received. The days cycling started well, sunny weather, which gave me the opportunity to visit Delta’s Meat and Sausage Factory. The next place I stopped at was the Silver Fox Road House. This was an amazing little
museum that should be advertised, because as I pulled up, I did not know it was inside. I had to take some video of the main attraction,[ far as I am concerned was the buffalo). I cycled most of the night to try and cover 80 miles, about a 19 hour day, in the rain. I pulled into the Cathedral’s bed n breakfast.
I was soaked and cold, but this was the right place. I met Dave and Chris, and all the discomforting feelings I was experiencing melted away with the warmth shared by the two of them. Thanks Dave and Chris!!! “My GOD is a good GOD”. Spirit Rider Lowell
